ABOUT ME

I grew up in the charming city of East LA (that is Michigan not California, sadly) and naturally became a Michigan State University Spartan. I am a MSU graduate with a degree in professional writing, specialization in fashion writing and minor in public relations. Recently, I relocated to Chicago to begin a career in strategic communication, and pursue my passions for writing, editing and fashion.

Working with fashion publications such as VIM Magazine and CollegeFashionista has given me experience with content writing, developmental editing and copy editing. In addition, my work experiences have allowed me to develop a keen intuition for fashion, build leadership skills and establish a clear understanding of specific tasks and operations within the publishing industry.

I always enjoy clever plays on words and creative wit, and some of my favorite words to live by are from Katherine Hepburn; ”If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun." This is consistently the inspiration for my writing, editing and fashion choices.
